Nine-year-old Jessica Marston developed eczema when she was three months old. As a baby, she had to be rocked to sleep by mum Joanne, to distract her from scratching her skin raw.
Bedtimes are still the most difficult time of the day for Jessica – when her hot, irritated skin becomes unbearably itchy. And despite identifying dairy products, pet fur and soap powders as the triggers for her worst skin flare-ups, Jessica continues to suffer from continuous eczema outbreaks.
However, her mum believes that wet wrapping with new Tubifast garments has made a real difference to the condition of Jessica’s skin. “I wish I’d been able to use these garments when Jessica was a baby, she was so hot and upset at nights, said Joanne.
“We put them on together and she loves them. They keep her cool at nights, which is really important for us, and they have helped her skin such a lot. Once she’s wearing the garments, she’s hardly scratching at all – her skin is really good at the moment.”
